Financial Planning Standards Council (FPSC): A not-for-profit organization here to benefit the public by leading the evolution of the financial planning profession in Canada through the development, enforcement and promotion of the highest competency and ethical standards in financial planning as defined by individuals who have earned the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) designation.

Canadian Securities Institute (CSI): Providing world-class, life-long education for financial professionals for more than 30 years. CSI is the preferred partner for individual and corporate financial services education internationally. Designations granted by CSI have become a true measure of expertise in: securities, mutual funds, banking and trusts, insurance, portfolio management, financial planning and wealth management. State of the art industry knowledge that is the recognized standard for regulatory authorities, financial organizations and associations in Canada and around the globe.

Insurance Council of British Columbia: Council has delegated authority to license insurance agents, salespersons, and adjusters and authority to investigate and discipline licensees. In January 2005 Council was granted rule-making authority. Council is accountable to the provincial government and reports to the Minister of Finance. Council's mandate is to provide a level of protection to the public regarding the sale of insurance products and services. Canadian Tax Foundation: An independent tax research organization whose purpose is to provide the public and government of Canada with the benefit of expert impartial tax research into current problems of taxation and government finance.

Registered Deposit Brokers Association (RDBA): Formerly the Federation of Canadian Independent Deposit Brokers (FCIDB). The RDBA is the deposit industry's professional standards Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO). The RDBA represents its members and is organized for the purpose of regulating the operations and business conduct of its members and their representatives, with a view to promoting investor protection and the public interest.

Greater Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce: The Greater Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce has been serving the needs of the business community in the Nanaimo area since 1889. A non-profit, non-government organization with over 875 members comprised of businesses, professionals and associations who have joined together for the purpose of promoting the civic, commercial and industrial interests of our community.
